Christmas is not a time nor a season,

But a state of mind.

To cherish peace and goodwill,

To be plenteous in mercy,

Is to have the real spirit of Christmas.

Fail not to call to mind,

In the course of the twenty-fifth of this month,

That the Divinest Heart that ever walked the earth was born on that
day;

And then smile and enjoy yourselves for the rest of it; for mirth is
also of Heaven’s making.

Faith makes all things possible,

Hope makes all things work,

Love makes all things beautiful,

And transport the traveler back to his own fireside and quiet
